Man, I had a feeling Britney Spears was one to enjoy quickies, but I had no idea she also possesses magical abilities...like the ability to make time stop or make clocks go backwards. Otherwise, I can't possibly imagine how she could wrap up the shoot for her second video (for her single "Piece of Me") in just two hours. No, don't give me that look - I haven't had anything to drink this morning and I'm definitely alert and sober: it's the truth, or at least the truth according to "Us" magazine. Britney, they say, is scheduled to embark on a new video endeavor, and all the signs are there to prevent an even bigger disaster than the one that occurred during the shoot of the already infamous "Gimme More" video.
In case you forgot, I'll remind you that during the "Gimme More" shoot, Britney not only went to pieces several times, repeatedly walking out of the set and disappearing for hours, but she always ended the night naked in a pool, fondling a college student and, later, allegedly having sex with her assistant at that time, Shannon Funck. This time, "Us" has learned that the production of the video for "Piece of Me" is scheduled to begin today, 8 o'clock, at Social Hollywood. I can only assume that it is the time when the filming crew gets there, because nothing short of a disaster could get Brit out of bed that early in the morning.
The video will reportedly be directed by Wayne Isham, who was in charge of the video for the Britney's 2002 hit, "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman". A source quoted by "Us" says that in the video, "Brit and her dancers enter a club in matching wigs and trench coats in order to sneak Spears in. Once in the club and without her disguise, the pop star is followed by the paparazzi regardless". The source also reports that as Britney is scheduled to see her boys on Tuesday, she will only be able to attend the shoot for two hours, between noon and 2 p.m. "During that time she will shoot scenes where she dances on a bar and runs down a staircase. There will be 15 extras, as well as a body double for Brit" it has been claimed.
To be honest, I see no problem with the fact that Brit will be seeing her boys today - I mean, it was never such a great obstacle in the past, why should it stop the shoot of her video? Brit once left her kids in the car during such a visit and went chandelier shopping (!), so a little video shoot will just slip right by. On a different note, maybe it's better to use that body double for Britney and wrap up the whole thing before she even knows it happened. I don't want to sound mean, but really, the way things are now, I think it's best if we postpone the drunken midnight pool romp for a time when there will be no custody battle and no paparazzi swarming around. Which means, like...well, never.
