Apparently, according to the mayor of Kentwood, Britney's home town, Harold Smith, quoted in 'In Touch' Magazine the fallen pop star has at last decided to leave Malibu and go back to mommy's house.

The mayor claims that the artist is already adding new rooms to her home, back in Louisiana, for the children to play in, and is redecorating the rest of the house.

K Fed seems to be OK with the changing houses idea, but an insider told the same magazine that he doesn't like the idea of Lynn (the mother in law) snooping around and prying in their relationship. That's why rumor has it that the couple are already looking for a new house to buy and call their own.

Some of Brit's friends have also spoken out about this sudden change of plans and believe that Spears came to this decision after seeing that there are many things that her mother could teach her and help her at, including the raising of little Sean Preston. Even more, the 'desperate wife' is inclined to hope that, by leaving Malibu and returning to her home town (population: 2,468), Kevin might be induced to spend more time with his family and to stop partying around the clock with his guys.

What's for sure is the fact that Britney 'loves Malibu but she feels she'll end up divorced if she stays there - at least for now', the same girlfriend said. Guess what people said when they heard this? Stay, Britney, stay in Malibu!
