For the last couple of days, Britney has been repeatedly spotted out and about town, running errands, shopping and pampering herself. But what is most important, every time the paparazzi snapped her, she was smiling and apparently very happy with her new reformed life. Until yesterday.
As you can see from this pic, Britney was in no mood to talk to the reporters as she exited a tanning salon with her cousin. The explanation for this sudden change of mood is simple: her father went behind her back and talked to the media in less than flattering terms about her stint at the Promises clinic. And she is not happy about it.
When contacted by the 'New York Post', Jamie Spears insinuated that Britney is the only one to blame if she lost the custody of her children. Apparently, according to him, she ruined her life and her image all by herself and her manager Larry Rudolph (the one who forced her to enter rehab and who was fired last week by Britney) did nothing but look out for her best interest. But she, as the ungrateful spoiled brat that she is, failed to see his true intentions and the good that he did for her.
'When Larry Rudolph talked Britney into going into rehab, he was doing what her mother, father and team of professionals with over 100 years of experience knew needed to be done. She was out of control. Larry was the one chosen by the team to roll up his sleeves and deliver the message, to help save her life. The Spears family would like to publicly apologize to Larry for our daughter's statements about him over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, she blames him and her family for where she is at today with her kids and career. Larry has always been there for Britney. For this, we will forever be grateful to him', Mr. Spears told the 'NY Post'.
Minutes after his statement was made public, Britney fired back via her publicist, saying that the relationship she has with her father is not such as to allow him to know what really happened when she went into rehab. 'I am praying for my father. We have never had a good relationship. It's sad that all the men that have been in my life do not know how to accept a real woman's love. I am concentrating on my work and my life right now', her exact words were.
Until now, Jamie Spears did not respond to Britney's statement. However, one of her friends came to her defense, saying that the stay in rehab was not even drug or alcohol-related: she was just suffering from post-partum depression. And the whole shaving-of-the-head incident was just a sign of solidarity towards her aunt, who had just passed away from cancer and whom Britney did not have a chance to see.
