Britney Could Be Right for a Change: Feels That Rehab Was Unfair

We promised to keep you updated about the Britney Spears saga as it unfolds. True to our word, here are the latest developments. Britney feels that her rehab period should not have happened in the first place. What's even more scandalous is that she could be right for once.

Here's Britney's side of the story. After the birth of her second child, Jayden James, she began having some emotional problems. She was on the brink of divorce with K-Fed and the media was all over her. She also stopped taking Prozac, which experts believe caused her to sink into depression.

What happened next was that Britney's mother (Lynne Spears), her manager (Larry Rudolph) and her future ex-husband (K-Fed) pressured her into going to rehab. She admitted that she had some emotional issues but she firmly stated that she did not have a drug and alcohol addiction. Nevertheless, Britney checked into the (now famous) "Promises" clinic.

After her release, she began to think that she had no reason to go to rehab. Realizing what might have actually transpired, she requested a "Promises" report that would prove her the fact that she tested positive for drugs and/or alcohol when she checked in.

After a couple of days, Britney received only two test results that showed no drug or alcohol problems whatsoever. The surprises din not stop there, as one of the tests was dated March 7, 15 days after Britney checked in. In the face of such evidence, it seems that Britney went to rehab for the wrong reasons. Why?

Britney thinks that her manager, her mother and her husband worked together to get her out of the picture so that they could take control of the situation. Since then, she has been on a vendetta: Rudolph got fired from the position of manager, she has issued a restraining order against her mom, and she is determined to divorce K-Fed.

Federline could be a tough nut to crack. He is constantly threatening Britney that he will drag their custody battle to the public attention, which is something Britney wants to avoid at all costs. K-Fed's lawyer stated that his client has resorted to this maneuver in order to level the playing field, seeing how Britney has greater means of influence.

I don't want to be a hater, but the fact that Britney may, I say it again, may not have had any drug or alcohol problems ('cause I'm not buying that yet), does not mean that she doesn't have some serious issues to straighten out. To put it simple, just look at the way she dresses, for Christ's sake! She is changing her wigs on a daily basis because, while in San Francisco, she decided to shave her head. Now that's the former princess of pop we're talking about, she used to be a role model. There are two possible explanations: a) she does have some serious (mental) problems, or b) she finally accepted the fact that her career is over and just doesn't want to try anymore. I'll let you be the judge of that.
