Britney Barely Avoids Yet ANOTHER Video Shoot Disaster

Jive Records has probably learned its lesson and is not sitting back taking s**t for Britney Spears anymore. Remember how last week I was telling you all about how Britney was supposed to shoot the video for her new single 'Piece of Me"? Well, news has just come out that it wasn't a shoot like any other - but that Jive had in fact coughed up no less than $500,000, in order to get everything right and wash away some of Britney's shame over her disastrous VMA performance and her even more disastrous video for "Gimme More". However, the people at Jive proved that it's best not to trust Brit Brit at all, and had another one of their singers on hold, the plan being to re-tool the shoot for another video, should Brit pull one of her usual stunts on them.

Which, of course, happened. "Britney was supposed to shoot a video for her song 'Pieces of Me' last week. Jive hired Wayne Isham to direct, had all the dancers there - hair, make-up and everything. But she refused to come. Jive was really upset" said an insider. "They were going to use it for another Jive artist, Samantha Jade, because it was too expensive to just scrap. But Britney finally showed up 12 hours late when she realized a new, younger, hotter girl would take her slot".

I'm very sorry to say this, but I think my own mother is hotter than Britney - so I don't think it's a very relevant way to make a point. Anyone who's clean and not totally overweight is hotter than Brit. I suspect that my own dog is way hotter than Brit (see the contradiction) - but the threat of bringing in someone hotter seems to have worked: the popwreck did show up 12 hours late and the video was eventually shot.

In more crazy Britney news, it seems that the troubled walking disaster really wanted ex husband K-Fed by her side, while she was out partying on her birthday. She apparently borrowed Paris Hilton's cell phone and asked Federline to join her. "She begged him to come out with her. Kevin reminded her that one of them needed to be a parent and take care of the boys. Then she hung up on him. Kevin said she was drinking". Can't anyone out there see a pattern in this? The missed video shoot, the late-night drunken calls - isn't there such a thing as compulsory commitment to a mental facility as a birthday gift? If only...
