Britney Banned from Driving Her Kids Around

Good, can we ban Britney altogether next?

Well, the inevitable finally happened, and we can all finally sleep a little more peacefully now. I mean, sleep is never an easy affair if Brit is on the loose, but nevertheless, the streets of Los Angeles are a little safer now, if not for all of us then at least for the popwreck's two boys. Britney Spears, everyone, is not allowed to drive with her sons in her car anymore out of fear for their safety. Anyone out there surprised about this? I sure am not - in fact, it was just a matter of time.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon called an emergency hearing on the matter on Friday at the request of lawyers for Spears' ex husband. Mark Vincent Kaplan lodged a complaint about Britney's stupid move which involved not only running a red light with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in the back seat, but also doing it in front of a horde of paparazzi. Sorry if this may sound blunt - but how stupid can you get?

It is reported that a shutterbug working for the X17 photo agency (who originally snapped Spears running the light) testified about what he saw. We have no word on whether they also viewed the recording of the event, but I'm not sure that was needed - it was, after all, posted on every gossip site you can think of. All the Commissioner had to do was turn on his computer and he would have found all the evidence he needed.

Britney's lawyer actually had the nerve to bring in an expert, who reportedly argued that in fact Britney could have made the turn through the red light. The court sealed the order and the parties would not discuss what happened at the 90-minute court hearing. However, Brit Brit's lawyer apparently felt things had gone great after the hearing was over, according to People magazine.

Federline's lawyer was a little more reserved and refused to disclose any information to the media, despite having scored a major victory over team Spears: gossip site TMZ reported that the singer was banned from getting behind the wheel with the two children indefinitely. Hate to say "I told you so", but since it's Britney, bitches� Well, maybe next time the Commissioner will bar Britney from making public appearances altogether - now that would be good news for everybody, don't you think so? And at least in the meantime her kids are safe - which, as I was saying, is a relief to all of us.
