The 'Save Britney' campaign might as well end right now, as she is beyond any help. Everything that she did this past few months ended backfiring, including her latest attempt of clearing her good name as a pop star and young mother.
First, there was the interview for the NBC that, in spite of Brit's expectations, made people from all over America respect her even less. An unofficial poll was done by 'US Weekly' and more than 87% of the people who agreed to participate in it admitted that they had less respect for the fallen star after seeing the mess she is, live on TV.
Then, after dishing tabloids in her 'discussion' with Matt Lauer, she made herself pretty again (using professional help for hair and make-up, this time) and posed for a couple of pictures that she later tried to sell 'exclusively' for $200,000. Surprise, surprise! There was no buyer for them and she has to sell them (discount and all) to 'Hello!' for just $5,000, in a desperate attempt to boost her public image.
The very same day, she dyed her hair jet black. What came out of it all? Even more criticism. Immediately after pictures of her as a brunette were published, news that dye jobs are actually not recommended for pregnant women and rumors that she may be putting her unborn baby at risk have already started to circulate. According to doctors and gynecologists, dyes contain many chemicals that are easily absorbed in the scalp and, thus, into the blood mainstream, affecting the developing fetus.
People are wondering, what on earth is she doing? Couldn't she wait a little longer, until her second child was born, to dye her hair? More than one website strongly advises Britney to move back to Louisiana and step out of the spotlight for a long time, until all her 'accidents' as a mother and failures as an artist are completely forgotten.
