The foldable PMP wears no price tag, yet

Here's what I've run into on PMP Today! A low-profile electronics company, British Lipljan Digital Technology to be more specific, has recently unveiled what seems to be a fresh and nice-looking portable media device. There is only one minor issue about it. The player's design line is said to be taken from the already famous on the market, Nokia Communicator mobile communication device. So, I guess there goes the innovative part.

However, the YDPG69 PMP has some strong points. The item is a media player that can actually be folded before being comfortably placed in your suit pockets or suitcase. On the outside, the business-like PMP reveals a nice 3-inch QVGA resolution screen display.

As for its spec list, the PMP works on the Windows CE 5.0 operating system and offers a playback support for a wide array of file formats, such as DivX, XviD, AVI, ASF, MPEG4, WMV7/8/9 video files, as well as MP3 formats for music data. The makers have also added a couple of extra specs to allow photo viewing options, e-Book reading and gaming. So, it does some cool stuff, as well.

According to PMP Today, the YDPG69 PMP is a rather different kettle of fish compared to other players on the market, supporting "a more legitimate line-up of gaming platforms, Flash, 3D games, WINCE games and JAVA games." Moreover, the new player will also deliver WiFi and Bluetooth. It's actually amazing that such a sober-looking media player can be that playful on the inside.

Too bad the classy portable media player is only in the concept stage for the time being, meaning it might not even see the light of day, at lest not after undergoing a series of tests for its features. With or without official approval, you have to admit it does tickle your businessman fancy.
