25-year-old Andrew Morgan of Immingham, UK, has been sentenced to three years and eight months in prison for stealing account credentials which he used to purchase goods worth £70,000 ($112,000 / €82,600) from various online stores, including Amazon and eBay.

According to the Grimsby Telegraph, Morgan pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud.

The hacker stole email addresses and passwords for various online shops. To avoid being tracked down, he had the purchased items delivered to his associates.

However, when your partners in crime are your friends, you shouldn’t be surprised if police come knocking on your door.

In addition to this lack of sophistication, Morgan also bragged on online forums about making fraudulent purchases.

The hacker had already been convicted for online fraud, yet he continued to steal credentials and use them for fraudulent purchases.

Now, he has been banned from changing his name online and he must keep a history of his Internet activity for five years.
