Someone call the Guinness Book people. This must be a record of some kind, definitely. Someone actually managed to talk Britney Spears into attending a parenting session, together with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The miracle...I mean, meeting happened yesterday, and I really am having a tough time getting over the fact that really, Brit and K-Fed were in the same room for a while and no one was hit over the head with a frying pan. That's gotta be a record, too.
Brit Brit and ex-hubby K-Fed arrived at the Beverly Hills Hotel for their first Parenting Without Conflict meeting yesterday afternoon. A source said: "Britney wasn't nervous about the parenting session. She was actually really looking forward to it". No, I think there must be some mistake here. What Brit was excited about was either seeing her ex (for whom, rumor has it, she still has some pretty strong feelings) or the fact that she knew by the time the two-hour session ended, it would be frappucino time again.
This is somewhat confirmed by that fact that, although initially excited about the meeting, the pop wreck was seen crying hysterically in a hotel bathroom soon after arriving. But this may also have something to do with the contents of the session itself, which, we are told, was about learning to make "polite requests". Well, that makes perfect sense - I can totally see what Britney was crying about. That girl can't learn to be polite if it cost her her life - her behavior and attitude so far don't suggest politeness plays a big part in her life.
Craig Ogulnick, a supervisor on the program in which Brit was forced to take part, explained what the politeness thing is all about. "Instead of saying, 'You're always bringing the kids home late because you're an insensitive jerk,' we teach parents instead to say, 'When you bring the kids home late, I feel like you're not valuing my time, and I feel hurt or angry as a result'." This is absolute gold. I really wish I were a fly on the wall during these sessions, as I'm sure Britney's attempts at politeness are to die for.
