Predictably, the judge ruled that Britney will NOT get her kids back and that the previous 50/50 custody arrangements will not be restored until the Britster train wreck goes back into...well, semi-train wreck mode. In other words, the only way Brit is getting anywhere near those boys for now is under monitored visitation. Which is, I'm sure you will agree, a very sensible thing to do, given all the allegations about Brit's unfit parenting skills - to say the least.
The court hearing that took place yesterday lasted about three hours, and according to K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, both sides presented evidence at today's hearing. Also predictably, K-Fed and Kaplan were both looking quite happy about the result of the hearing and stated that they thought the judge's ruling was "justified".
In the meantime, there's more news on the Brit Brit front - but not the good kind of news. But I take it this doesn't surprise anyone anymore. Rumor has it that Brit will be heading into rehab in order to try and pacify the judge's concerns related to her drug and alcohol abuse. OK! claims that Brit has most wisely chosen to keep her third stint in rehab away from the media (as if that were possible - but let's admit it for now) by checking in for treatment at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Center in Antigua over the weekend.
This would be the second time this year that Britney's been at the Crossroads Center - if you remember, back in January she checked in for just over 24 hours and then took off. This time, it is claimed that the rehab stint is going to be for real - and Britney is reportedly planning to check into Crossroads this Saturday.
"Britney's team has been working closely with her attorneys to figure out a way to get the babies back from Kevin" a Britney source states for OK!. "She is surrendering herself to rehab for treatment of depression and alcohol so that there is no questioning if she is drinking or missing any future tests. She's got to pull her life together or else she'll lose the kids for good. She will do whatever her legal team and those closest to her thinks is best if it means she gets Preston and Jayden back. She's getting the help she needs and everyone is hoping she goes through with it this time".
Yes well, it's not like anyone has any kind of faith when it comes to Brit anymore. It's just going to be another round of "wait, see and be stunned". And again, I don't mean a pleasant surprise.
