Few actually expected One Direction not to win Best Band at last night’s Brit Awards 2013, which took place in London, but this is precisely what happened. However, the handsome boys who already have the entire world at their fingertips did not leave for home empty-handed.

They received the Best Global Success award, which, some fans would argue, is perhaps better than Best Group, which, this year, went to Mumford & Sons.

Below is a video of One Direction accepting their award, presented by the ever-charming Robbie Williams.

Lana Del Rey left competition totally in the dust in the International Female Solo Artist category, while Adele, who could not be there, won Best British Single with her amazing James Bond song, “Skyfall,” from the movie of the same name.

Emeli Sandé was also one of the biggest winners of the night, nabbing British Female Solo Artist and MasterCard British Album of the Year.

Check out the list of winners below to see if your favorite made the cut or not.
