Bristol Palin’s “Not Afraid of Life: My Story So Far” will be out in bookstores soon

As rumored earlier, Bristol Palin has written her memoirs. Called “Not Afraid of Life: My Story So Far,” the book is not yet out in stores, but advanced copies of it are being sent out to the media for reviews. Us Weekly informs that the book will also include the night when Bristol became a woman.

Bristol and Levi Johnston have a son, but she writes that he wasn’t conceived on their first night together, but rather after they had promised to each other they would hold off until marriage.

The first night they made love, Bristol was drunk and passed out. They were on a camping trip and she doesn’t remember anything of the night in question, except that she woke up and Levi was no longer there, the mag reports.

“Palin says she woke up alone in her tent, with no recollection as to what happened. Johnston, meanwhile, ‘talked with his friends on the other side of the canvas’,” Us writes.

She confronted him and he confirmed for her her worst fear. Things became somewhat better when Levi promised her he would not press her more encounters of this type until they were married.

Then, in 2008, she became pregnant – even though, she insists, she was on the pill, which had been prescribed to her to treat severe menstrual cramps.

“It took eight home pregnancy tests to convince her that she was expecting,” Us writes.

“Palin’s parents, to her surprise, were incredibly supportive. They also reminded her to stay focused on the future, particularly her continuing education,” the publication says.

“Johnston’s reaction was less comforting. ‘Better be a [expletive]-ing boy,’ he told her,” Us adds.

In the book, Bristol also recalls how she found out that Levi had been cheating on her when she checked his phone messages, after giving birth.

Nevertheless, that did not stop her from reconciling with him later on, despite the war of words they exchanged in the media – and even to accept his marriage proposal.

“Once Johnston admitted to the affair, they decided to break up. Eighteen months later, the couple reunited and shocked their families with an announcement: they were engaged,” Us writes.

“Shortly after, Johnston informed Plain that he had gotten another woman pregnant, which ended their relationship for good,” the mag says.

Bristol believes Levi gave her and her entire family “the middle finger,” making it his mission to sully their name. Presumably, his upcoming book, “Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs,” also falls in this category.
