Bristol Palin responds to Margaret Cho on Facebook – and cracks uninspired gay joke

Bristol Palin wants the world to know she’s her own person and that, contrary to what Margaret Cho is saying, she didn’t go on Dancing With the Stars because her mom pushed her to it. Consequently, she’s taking the matter on Facebook.

As Gawker can confirm, in recent days, Cho (who has also been on the latest season of ABC’s highly popular show) has been telling the media that Bristol’s stint on the program was imposed by her mother.

As she put it, in more or less words, Sarah believes Bristol’s unplanned pregnancy cost her dearly in the elections so, in order to make up for the loss, she had her on DWTS to win back some of the voters with her dancing skills.

Cho claimed she had this from “someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really)” which, in itself, should have been enough indication for Bristol that it wasn’t more than a joke.

Bristol didn’t see it that way, so she took to her Facebook page to put Cho in her place – and, at the same time, also crack a very uninspired gay joke.

“To my friend Margaret Cho, if you ever have a question, call me girlfriend. Don’t ever rely on ‘sources’ who claim to know me or my family. You will be taken every time. And we need to talk,” Bristol wrote.

“You say you ‘don’t agree with the family’s politics at all’ but I say, if you understood that commonsense conservative values supports the right of individuals like you, like all of us, to live our lives with less government interference and more independence, you would embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert,” she added, cracking the aforementioned joke.

In her defense, she did offer Cho the chance to babysit Tripp, saying she’d be grateful for the night off if possible.

As we also informed you a while back, Bristol has a history with saying things that don’t put her in the best light on Facebook. When one of her sister Willow’s “friends” commented that momma Palin’s new show “sucked,” both lashed out at him, using homophobic slurs – for which Bristol later apologized.
