This week, Bristol Palin has made her spectacular return on the dancefloor of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, the All-Star edition, wowing judges with her improved routine and viewers at home with her amazing, new, slimmer figure.

Speaking with Us Magazine backstage, Bristol explained that she did not even make a conscious effort to lose weight, it just sort of happened to her.

She admits though to cutting out unhealthy foods from her diet, which seems a very smart move when it comes to preparing for the physically challenging routine on DWTS.

“I'm definitely in better shape than I was last time, definitely. I'm just more active and I cut all the [bad stuff] out of my diet! It's that simple,” the 21-year-old television personality says for the celebrity publication.

Tripp, her son with her ex-boyfriend, is also helping her with staying in shape – by simply being himself.

“And my kid's a lot more rowdy, a lot more active. I'm running after him a lot! He's huge! He thinks he's a teenager already,” Bristol says.

On the show, Bristol and partner Mark Ballas scored a 19 out of 30, only 2 points away from Pamela Anderson and her pro partner who got the boot.

Despite the low score, Bristol was praised by the judges as the “most improved” contestant / star ever to return on the show.

What’s more important, she had a lot of fun learning the new routine, which was her goal from the start.

“God provides opportunities like this for me. It’s a positive, active show. It’s going to be awesome. Do I like to provide for my son? Yes, I do,” Bristol was saying a while back, when asked why she’d want to put herself in the spotlight again, as we also reported.

“The press is going to talk to me no matter what I do. I might as well have fun,” she added.
