Her new reality show, “Life’s a Tripp,” might have opened to disastrous reviews, but Bristol Palin is confident that the future is bright as far as her private life is concerned, at least. Dating a new man for about 3 years, she now knows she must save herself for marriage.

Bristol was thrust into the spotlight more or less against her will, when word got out that she’d gotten pregnant by her then-boyfriend Levi Johnston while still a teen and, of course, unmarried.

After she gave birth and broke up with Levi, she became a familiar face on the abstinence circuit, lecturing girls and young women on the importance of saving themselves for marriage or, at least, using protection if they didn’t.

In a new interview with the latest print issue of InTouch Magazine (story via CB), Bristol says she still believes in holding off having relations until marriage even though she already has a child.

She and her boyfriend Giacinto “Gino” Paoletti, whom she describes as a perfect father figure for her son Tripp, have agreed on waiting until they’re wed to become intimate.

“Gino and I are going to wait until marriage. I’m doing what’s best for me. It’s between me and God, and I know it’s right,” she tells the magazine.

She’s not making a secret of it either. In fact, if anything, Bristol wants the world to know of her decision because, that way, maybe others will be inspired to do the same too.

“Since I have this platform, I want to use it for good… I want to let girls know that this isn’t ideal, this isn’t fun, this isn’t easy,” she explains.

Of course, having a significant other who understands and supports you is necessary. In this sense, Gino is perfect and, Bristol hints, exactly the opposite of Levi, her boy’s father.

“Gino’s an awesome male role mode. He takes Tripp fishing, takes him out on the Jet Skis and shows him off to his friends. He just loves Tripp endlessly, and I am so thankful for that…” Bristol says.

“Gino is on the same path; he has the same faith as I do. I’m blessed to have him by my side. [Levi] hasn’t been an active father to Tripp, He hasn’t been paying child support. I don’t wish that on anyone,” she concludes.

As we also noted earlier this week, the reviews to the first episode of Palin’s new show have been abysmal, prompting talk that “Life’s a Tripp” won’t even get to mid-season before it’s canceled.
