When Bristol Palin stepped out after a prolonged absence looking distinctly different from before, many she assumed she had plastic surgery. She later said it was “corrective jaw surgery,” but Mercede Johston, Levi’s sister, would beg to differ. Mercede and Bristol were reportedly pretty close once, back in the day when Bristol was pregnant with the baby of Mercede’s brother and they were talking about getting married.
Now, Mercede is out to get Bristol in the press, revealing details that were never meant to go public. Her
Playboy interview is a clear example of that.
After saying that Bristol actually
wanted to have Levi’s baby and they’d been trying for months before they got pregnant, Mercede also talks about Bristol’s obvious transformation.
It wasn’t just corrective jaw surgery and some weight loss that made it happen, she says. Bristol, to her knowledge, has had at least five interventions on her face so far.
“She’s had numerous surgeries on her face, her chin twice or three times… Before Tripp was born she had liposuction here and liposuction elsewhere – where, I’m not supposed to say because Levi made me promise,” Mercede reveals in her interview for the men’s magazine.
“And she had something else done after Tripp was born,” she adds.
However, the claim might be a bit too much,
Gawker is quick to point out. Just like with other things Mercede states in the interview, this one too doesn’t really hold water.
“Two surgeries we’d believe, even three. But five? At that rate, she’d have spent the last three years in perpetual recovery,” the publication says of Johnston’s claim that Bristol had 5 interventions on her face alone.
As far as she’s concerned, Bristol is sticking to her story of getting corrective jaw surgery “so my jaw and teeth could properly realign,” but zero plastic surgery.
She also insists that losing weight has contributed to her seemingly altered appearance, as we also
informed you at the time.
