14 DAY TRIAL // Bristol Palin has kicked off the promo tour for her upcoming book “Not Afraid of Life: My Story So Far” with an interview on Good Morning America. As the video below will confirm, for it, no topic was off the table.
The first thing that Bristol is asked to address is her claim in the book, made available online via excerpts sent out for review, that she was drunk and passed out on the night she and Levi Johnston first made love.
Though she doesn’t say it out loud, because she claims her virginity was “stolen,” there is a certain implication that what happened that night was against her will – that is, without her consent, which would spell trouble for Levi, her ex boyfriend and the father of her child.
In the GMA interview, Bristol clears the record on that, saying that, while she doesn’t accuse Levi of anything of the kind, she does wish nothing had happened.
“That’s what it felt like. I’m not accusing Levi of [anything]. But I am looking back with the adult eyes I have now and that was a foolish decision. I should have never been underage drinking, and I should have never gotten myself into a situation like that,” Bristol says.
Also in the book, she calls Levi, the man she almost married had he not cheated on her again, a “gnat” who kept trying to break her family apart, but she’s not afraid her son will one day grow up and hate her for it.
Levi is not part of Tripp’s life as “he’d be entitled to,” Bristol says. As such, she can’t possibly have any regret about speaking the truth about him and choosing not to sugar-coat anything from now on.
In the same GMA interview, Bristol explains why she agreed to appear on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, refuses to speak of her mother’s possible run in upcoming Presidential elections, and even addresses her so-called makeover by plastic surgery.
