Over the weekend, video emerged of Bristol Palin getting into a confrontation with a heckler in West Hollywood, who had called her mother names. As it turns out, the entire thing was most likely staged for television cameras, it is being said.

Kyle Massey, who was with Bristol on Dancing With the Stars and is now working with her on her upcoming reality show, has been telling friends that the incident was staged, TMZ reports.

Unnamed sources have spilled the beans to the celebrity gossip website, saying that Massey finds it a little bit too convenient that there were so many cameras when Bristol and the heckler got into the argument.

“Palin got into it with a guy named Stephen Hanks at a bar on the Sunset Strip Thursday night. Hanks told us it was not a setup, but we’re told Massey doesn’t buy it,” TMZ writes.

“According to our sources, Massey – who is starring with Bristol in a reality show for the BIO Channel – feels it was a little too convenient that so many cameras were there to catch the confrontation,” the e-zine adds.

However, Massey is also convinced that Bristol had nothing to do with staging the incident and that it was producers who did it because they want the best ratings possible once the show is out.

This is only a dip in the ocean of Massey’s dissatisfaction with the direction the show has taken.

“Our sources say Massey feels the producers of the show were behind it all, but that Bristol had no part in it. We’re told Kyle feels that Bristol would never have agreed to something like that and that Bristol has been nothing but genuine and honest with Kyle so far,” TMZ says.

“According to our sources, Massey is not happy with the direction the show has taken. We’re told Massey feels the show is now ‘sleazy’ and thought he was signing on for a scripted show... and not a reality show,” the report further argues.

As we also reported over the weekend, the incident mentioned above saw Bristol go up to a heckler who had called her mother names, asking him what Sarah Palin did wrong to deserve to be called that.

The heckler insisted that she was “evil” and “the devil,” but could not offer a solid reason for it. The confrontation was filmed by several cameras.
