BenQ launched a new addition to the Joybook laptop family that already features systems running both AMD and Intel processors. The latest laptop from the Joybook family is called R56 and it comes equipped with some outstanding hardware. First of all, the 8ms response time display, then the powerful Intel processor, then the best in class Nvidia graphics card and built in speakers, they all combine for a unique multimedia experience from the visual and the audio point
of view.

The latest BenQ laptop, the Joybook R56, features a bright 15.4 inch LCD display with a very low response time (only 8ms) that is further "enhanced by BenQ's patented UltraVivid technology" according to the BenQ press release concerning the R56 laptop.

The Joybook R56 easily handles the latest generation of graphic intensive video games and 3D applications, thanks to its powerful, best in class, discrete graphics card that uses the nVIDIA GeForce 8400M G chip. Intended to be a complete multimedia solution for even the most demanding users, the R56 delivers a one-of-a-kind audio experience with its built-in dual speakers (with 2W of power each) and the 3W subwoofer embedded in its casing. The use of specialized software that suppresses noises and echoes, makes the audio part of the Joybook R56 truly outstanding.

For users who want to experience their movies on a high-definition TV set, the R56 comes with a variety of external connectors, including a "HDMI output connector that provides pristine transmission of high-definition digital video and digital audio up to 1080p resolution via a single cable - allowing easy connection of HD enabled equipment such as HD monitor, HD TV, or HD projector for the best multimedia experience". The performance part of the R56 was never a second-class issue, as the laptop uses the Intel Core2 Duo processor and for maximum data transferring rates it also features an eSATA connector that is more than three times faster than a conventional USB version 2.0 interface. Alongside these, a built-in Web camera with 1.3 megapixels and Qeye technology and an internal mic with noise suppression and echo cancellation functions, make the Joybook R56 the perfect instrument for online chatting.

On the outside, the R56 sports a sleek and elegant appearance that blends in two shades of blue on both the inside and the outside surfaces, while the blue illuminated touchpad with integrated buttons is a visual focus point on the entire design.
