A bride has saved a friend's life during her wedding reception, and she has done so by locking lips with the guest.

Kylie Cox, of Cornwall in the UK, was getting ready to dance with her friend when he started getting dizzy and soon lost consciousness.

“Our friend asked me for a dance, but while we were on the dance floor, he complained of feeling faint. [...] I turned round to get him a chair and he collapsed. I rushed over and gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation,” Kylie tells the Mirror.

24-year-old Kylie works as a staff nurse and she has been able to revive the 28-year-old guest by giving him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, while still wearing her wedding dress.

She was helped by one of her bridesmaids and two other people, and they managed to save the man.

They accompanied him to the clinic where they waited until he was out of the woods. Doctors described that he was in critical condition when he was brought in.

“A bridesmaid, who is also a nurse, did the same and my uncle and another guest joined in to give him chest compression until the ambulance arrived.

“Then me and Russell spent the first night of our marriage at the hospital, because we didn’t know whether our friend was going to live or die.

“The doctors told us it was a miracle he survived,” Kylie notes.

“He’s still in hospital, but he’s going to make a full recovery,” she adds.

The incident has put a damper in wedding celebrations, and all the guests were sent home. Now Kylie and her husband Russell are planning to hold another reception.

“The party was due to go on till late, but when me and Russell left at 8.30pm, my dad sent everybody home as he thought our friend was going to die,” she says.
