Brian Cox to Star in HBO's Deadwood

The famous Emmy Award winning actor, who can now be seen in "Red Eye", has joined the cast of HBO's Deadwood

The 59-year-old Scottish actor (The Bourne Supremacy, Troy, X2: X-Men United), who won an Emmy for his work on the 2000 TNT miniseries Nuremberg, will play Jack Langrishe, an eccentric producer and theater owner who fights to get a bit of culture to the mean streets of the South Dakota town where the Western drama is set.

Brian Cox, who is currently filming for Douglas Mackinnon's "The Flying Scotsman" and also for Ryan Murphy's "Running with Scissors", will appear in at least seven episodes of HBO's Deadwood when it returns for its third season next year.
