In April this year, Poison frontman Bret Michaels was rushed to the hospital after complaining of severe headaches. Upon admission, doctors determined he had brain hemorrhage and proceeded to operate on him instantly to solve the problem. Just the other day, Oprah aired an interview with Michaels after he left the hospital, in which he said he was fine, though still having some problems with movement in the lower part of the body.

In between the interview airing and the time of writing, meaning an interval of just a few hours, Bret Michaels have suffered another setback: he had a stroke and had to be rushed to the hospital again, E! News reports. Doctors performed the necessary tests and were astounded to learn that the rocker has a “hole in his heart.” Further details on his condition have not yet been made public. Nevertheless, he is expected to make a full recovery this time too, the report assures concerned fans.

“Yesterday we watched Bret Michaels make a triumphant TV comeback on Oprah. Today, we’re sending good thoughts his way. The rocker, who recovered from a near-fatal brain hemorrhage a month ago, is back in the hospital after suffering a ‘warning stroke,’ according to a statement posted on his website. He was readmitted this week ‘after suffering numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands,’ the statement reads. After performing some tests, his doctors discovered a hole in the Poison star’s heart,” E! says.

The rocker’s neurosurgeon, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, tells E! that this new condition will most certainly keep Bret off the finale of Celebrity Apprentice, this Sunday. “I realize Bret wants to make a full recovery so that he can be active with his family, attempt to attend the finale of Celebrity Apprentice and especially get back on the road to continue making music. Without a doubt he is very determined to get healthy and make a 100 percent recovery. Medically speaking it is a fantastic attitude both mentally and physically for him to have. However, Bret’s brain and body are not quite 100 percent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart. Further tests will be conducted throughout the week,” Zabramski says.

According to the same specialist, the hole in his heart and the brain hemorrhage he had last month are not connected. Right now, the rocker is on blood-thinners and is being treated as an out-patient.
