[IMG=2]Crackheads of the world, unite! I think it's the best tag that can be attached to this story, which for the sake of humanity, would better not be true. Kidding. I mean, it's like I was a prophet or something. Just a couple of hours ago I was very worried and wondering what had happened to crack-head Doherty, and here he is right now, back in the news for something so monstrous they should probably adapt the story for the big screen and turn it into the biggest selling horror movie of all times.
Doherty, it seems, is in rehab. But no, I'm not worried about that too much - he's a strong lad and cocaine is like water to him, really, he's been so high on crack for so long I'm sure he'll beat the system somehow and sneak out even more drugged out than when he was admitted. The breaking news is that he was paid a visit by none other than infamous Courtney Love - and reports say the two shared a few "tender moments" over coffee at a pub.
I don't even know what to say - except that I just woke up from a prolonged faint and I might have to see a doctor about my heart. Doherty and Love??? This makes "Nauseating" Nancy and Sid Vicious look like kind, thoughtful and considerate infants. A source said that "Pete respects Courtney for the struggle she's faced, one that, like his, seemed insurmountable. He's turning a corner now. And chatting to one of rock's great survivors is a great help and inspiration for him. They had a brilliant talk. Pete was even allowed a pass out to take Courtney to Wetherspoons for a coffee and a meal deal".
Love is an inspiration to Doherty. That accounts for my second faint. And this whole going straight, keeping off the drugs stunt is not convincing - he must be trying to impress some judge somewhere, otherwise I can't explain how they made him go through with it.
"It was touching to see them share a tender kiss after the visit" the source added. Touching? More like nauseating. But this is...well, this is the stuff that horror movies are made of. Stay tuned - if you can manage not to throw up - and we'll keep you posted on whatever happens next.
