Aaron Paul, the young actor best known for the role of Jesse Pinkman in the Emmy winning Breaking Bad television series, has been cast for the upcoming movie based on the Need for Speed racing franchise, which is currently set to be produced during 2013 and launched one year later.

Patrick Soderlund, who is an executive vice president at Electronic Arts, stated, “Need for Speed is one of the most action-packed entertainment experiences you can find. The newest game, ‘Need for Speed Most Wanted’ and the upcoming film take the action to all new heights.”

He added, “Aaron Paul is a rising star — a great choice for the film lead. We’re looking forward to announcing the rest of the actors that will bring this racing franchise to the big screen.”

The movie will be directed by Scott Waugh and the current description of the Need for Speed movie says that it will be close to the aesthetic and feel of ‘70s car chase movies.
