Yay! She's Alive and Her Boobs Are Bigger!

When it comes to troubled British soul diva Amy Winehouse, the truly shocking news is not that she's been going through another crisis, but that she's actually looking incredibly healthy. And no, I'm not making it sound like it's a bad thing - on the contrary, it's really great news for the star, whose well-documented alcohol and drug abuse problems have taken her to the edge on many occasions in the near past. And finally, contrary to her repeated "No, no, no" attitude towards rehab, Wino looks like she's finally kicking her drug addiction and putting on some weight. And yes, she looks great - OK, great by the not so high standards she set in the past. But hey, she's wearing clean ballet flats, her beehive looks clean, and she's not parading around in her bra anymore. I really think that's saying something.

"Your video of Amy taking drugs may well be the best thing that has ever happened to her. For all the hurt and pain, it may finally be the thing to focus her mind and convince her to get the help she needs to quit for good" stated the singer's father Mitch about two weeks ago, when a shocking recording featuring Amy allegedly smoking crack at a house party hit the Internet. It was the final straw for the troubled star, whose life has been in a nosedive due to her notorious drug abuse and a horde of other personal problems. Amy decided to finally check into rehab, and it looks like every time she steps out for various reasons, she manages to look better and better. She also seems to have put on a bit of weight, which is again good news. So, for now, all quiet on the Wino front.

Trouble is, I hope Amy will be able to stay sober and clean once she gets out of rehab - because one of the reasons she took a few hour's break from rehab yesterday was to go see her husband Blake who is still in jail awaiting trial. And we all know what kind of an influence he's been having on his wife, so fingers crossed she'll stay away from him long enough to allow her to recover. "Blake has been very supportive in Amy's recovery. Their relationship remains solid and she's really looking forward to seeing him" says a source quoted by the Daily Mail. I only hope their solid relationship doesn't end up ruining Amy's fragile post-recovery balance. Fingers crossed - and looking forward to seeing her at the Grammys next week.
