Breaking off a long-term relationship is always a difficult thing to do and, sometimes, one just doesn't have the courage to take this huge step. That's where Hollywood's veteran in terms of bad relationships comes in.
Shannen is assiduously preparing for her Oxygen show, 'Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty', and she already offered fans (that is, supposing she still has some left) a preview at the 2006 Summer Television Critics Press Tour.
The show is meant to have for guests people trapped in dead relationships who, for one reason or another, can't muster the guts to simply say 'it's all over'.
The now retired actress will counsel couples but not in the way a
real counselor would do: she will not try to work through their problems and eventually come to a solution but, instead, straight away, she will offer them advice on how to end their relationship sooner.
Shannen said in an interview that even she needed her dad's help to end her engagement to one of her boyfriends. It was he the one that went to their house to pick up her things and to tell him that everything was over. 'It really helped', added Doherty but, on the other side (the fianc's side), that's one nasty way to find out that you're not together anymore with the person you love.
