Hollywood actor Brad Pitt was diagnosed yesterday with "a mild case of viral meningitis," but was released from the hospital, his publicist Cindy Guagenti said. The actor went home Wednesday afternoon.
Pitt, 41, was rushed to the Cedars Sinai Medical Center on Monday night for what appeared to be a bad case of flu, a week after returning from a trip to East Africa.
"The actor is at home and doing well," Cindy said in the statement.
The famous Hollywood star is between films, with three more projects on his mind, one in England, one in Morocco and one in negotiation.
During the weekend, Brad Pitt has attended a motorcycle race in Monterey, California, after he returned from Ethiopia, where he had accompanied his co-star and supposed lover Angelina Jolie, who had finalized the adoption of the baby girl Zahara.
On July 2, the actor was in London for Live 8.
Rumors on his romance with Angelina Jolie have been circulating for almost 6 months. After their trip to Kenya, the couple has been recently spotted at Angelina's estate in England, where Brad has also bought himself a cottage.
