Specialists say bras do nothing to reduce back pain, cause breast to sag

French researcher Jean-Denis Rouillon is now making headlines, all because of the findings of one investigation he carried out with respect to bras and the effects they have on breasts.

Not to beat about the bush, this specialist claims that, as far as he can tell, not only do bras yield absolutely no benefits, but they are also harmful to a woman's wellbeing.

Jean-Denis Rouillon's statements on how bras negatively affect a woman’s breasts are based on data collected during a total of 15 years.

Within this time frame, the University of Besançon in eastern France researcher and his colleagues went through the trouble of closely monitoring whatever changes occurred in the breasts of 130 female volunteers.

According to The Inquisitr, the tools used by the scientists during this data-collecting period were a mere slide rule and caliper.

Following their monitoring these 130 women throughout the course of 15 years, the researchers came to understand that, contrary to popular belief, bras do nothing to reduce back pain.

Furthermore, it is these scientists’ belief that, rather than keeping breasts from sagging as time goes by, bras speed up this phenomenon.

“Medically, physiologically, anatomically – breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity. On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra,” Jean-Denis Rouillon reportedly told members of the press.

In other words, women would be better off should they agree to ditch both conventional wisdom about bras and said item of clothing.

Interestingly enough, these claims are backed up by one of the women who took part in this research. Thus, this 28-year-old maintains that, despite the fact that it has been nearly two years since she last put on a bra, she feels great.

“There are multiple benefits: I breathe more easily, I carry myself better, and I have less back pain,” the young woman said.
