Ian Halperin, the investigative journalist who, in the past, released unauthorized biographies on Michael Jackson and Princess Diana, has now set his eyes on the most powerful couple in the showbiz industry at the moment. The lives of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are to be exposed for what they really are, with all the dirt out in the open in the upcoming (aptly named) “Brangelina Exposed” book, Us Magazine says.

The main function of “Brangelina Exposed” will be, of course, that of showing to the public at large that the fairytale, happy façade the two always put on is nothing more than just that: a façade that crumbles apart at a closer look. There is a lot of tension between the two, mainly because Jolie is manipulative, controlling and self-centered, and her entire “work” so far is now in danger of coming to pieces because she’s beginning to lose control, Halperin says in the upcoming book.

“‘Brangelina Exposed’ promises to explain how the famous couple ‘have successfully manipulated the public into believing a glamorous fairytale that bears little resemblance to the reality of the pair’s life together,’ according to a press release. First on Halperin’s agenda: parsing through Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston and the ‘real reason’ for their infamous split. The heavily-sourced writer then hones in on Jolie’s dark past, reporting ‘new details of her volatile relationship with and estrangement from her father Jon Voight, her struggles with suicidal impulses, her heroin use […] and her remarkable rise to become an Oscar-winning actress.’” Us Magazine writes of the book.

“Brangelina Exposed” will be out in bookstores on December 1, and will also include other details related to the meteoric rise to fame of the two stars. Among these, Halperin promises to reveal the identity of “the key figure behind the scenes who orchestrated her makeover into a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador,” while also taking a closer look at the state of affairs in her now-huge household. “Jolie’s personal lifestyle choices are not only affecting her growing family, but causing serious and potentially irreparable tensions with Pitt.” the press release for the book further says.

Neither Pitt nor Jolie has been immediately available for comment. Speculation has it that the book might not even make it to the release day, as the Brangelina is quite known for having one of the most solid legal defenses in showbiz, therefore the power to block the release. If that truly be the case, rest assured you’ll find out about it here.
