Brando has launched so many products over the years that it's actually pretty difficult to keep track of them all, but one thing's for sure, they've managed to keep themselves up-to-date as far as the technologies they user are concerned, and for this reason, they've just launched an USB 3.0 version of their already famous SATA HDD dock. Given the huge popularity the SuperSpeed standard has started to enjoy over the past couple of months, it should come as no surprise that Brando has decided to offer this functionality as well, especially since the design modifications compared to previous models were minimal.

So, the current version, called USB 3.0 SATA HDD Dock with 3-Port Hub, allows users to plug any 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDD to their computer via an USB port.

Furthermore, it's not only a powerful tool for data transfer, backup and cloning, but also a USB 3.0 3-Port Hub, the Superspeed USB 3.0 mode offering a theoretical data transfer speed of 5.0GBit/s, which is ten times faster than the USB 2.0 speed of 480 Mbit/s.

Additionally, the device supports most of the operating systems around, including Windows 7 / Vista / XP / 2000 and Mac OS 10.5.8, 10.6.2 or above.

It's also important to mention that the size of the dock hasn't changed much, the USB 3.0 SATA HDD Dock with 3-Port Hub measuring 134 mm (W) x 68 mm (H) x 94 mm (D) and weighing around 518 grams.

Although Brando's products are typically quite affordable, that's not really the case with their new USB 3.0 SATA HDD Dock with 3-Port Hub, which sells for around 140 US dollars, but this shouldn't really come as much of a surprise, given the fact that most USB 3.0 products out there tend to be more expensive than their USB 2.0 counterparts.
