The revamped Yahoo Mail, that's been in testing for the past few months, is shedding its Beta tag and is being rolled out to everyone in the coming weeks. The new Yahoo Mail app is significantly faster than its predecessor and brings quite a few new features and enhancements.

"The latest version of Yahoo! Mail is moving out of Beta and coming to an inbox near you! This faster, safer, and easier email experience will roll out to you and all of Yahoo! Mail’s 284-million users worldwide, offering fun, engaging and productive features consistent across PC, mobile and tablet devices," Yahoo announced.

The new Yahoo Mail enables you to get a lot more done from the app itself. Photos and videos are displayed inline and you can keep up with your friends and contacts from plenty of other places on the web.

Facebook friends, updates from Twitter, requests from Zynga and many other streams can be viewed in Yahoo Mail, making it a central place for all of your communication needs.

And it's not just about email either, you can IM with your Yahoo Messenger buddies or Facebook chat friends. All of your past IM conversations will be archived in the cloud and you can check them out inside Yahoo Mail. This is also true if you're using the latest Yahoo Messenger 11 desktop client.

Yahoo Mail got a visual revamp as well, the new site not only looks more modern, it also introduces a cleaner look, albeit with the clear Yahoo stamp on it.

If you don't like the trademark purple, you can select a theme that suits your tastes. You can also customize your email messages with the help of the Yahoo Mail Stationery app.

Search has gotten a revamp in the latest Yahoo Mail, offering a lot more options and filters to easily find just the email you're looking for.

Yahoo Mail has been in Beta for more than six months now. It's ready for a wide release, but you can still continue to use the current Yahoo Mail version, or even the "classic" version.
