Apologies from Jonathan Blow

Braid is one of last year's most popular arcade titles, as it gained a lot of fans when it was released during Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion for the Xbox 360. Its intricate story and solid platforming made it a must buy for any gamer.

The man behind the game, independent developer Jonathan Blow, announced some time ago that he would be bringing the game to other platforms, nominating the PC as the first one to enjoy this award-winning title. He scheduled a release at the end of March, but has now announced on the game's blog that it will be pushed back another 10 days so that he can work out the problems encountered with various Windows operating systems.

“Sorry for the delay,” Blow said. “I know folks have been waiting a long time for the PC version and it’s not so great to have to wait an extra 10 days, but it’s only so that I can try to ship you guys a version that works well (which frankly is impossible in Windows, but the best I can do is make it work for most people most of the time).”

But this time will also allow him to further discuss with two more retailers the possibility of them hosting Braid on their services. As of yet, the game is scheduled to appear on Steam, Greenhouse, Impulse and GamersGate for a promotional price of 15 dollars at first, and 20 dollars after the deal ends.

Also, Blow teased fans about a “special surprise” regarding the music in Braid, so it looks like he will be either offering it up for purchase or following the path of World of Goo and giving it out for free.

Hopefully, these ten more days will further benefit the game and PC gamers will enjoy a great experience with it.
