14 DAY TRIAL // Bradley Cooper is hot property at the moment and is still riding that gravy train. The actor was recently invited to the White House State Dinner and was forced to ditch the underwear because nothing would fit him.
Speaking about the funny incident, the 39-year-old appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show and was able to poke fun at himself for going commando at the White House and also during his meeting with President Barack Obama.
He explained his bizarre wardrobe decision by saying, “So I'm prepping for a new movie and nothing fits anymore.” It seems that all those extra pounds made his pants such a tight fit that there was no room for boxers aymore.
“I wore the tuxedo I wore to the Golden Globes. I just sort of threw it in the bag and brought it and went to Washington, D.C., and then I'm getting dressed like 10 minutes before I was supposed to go and literally the pants go up to like here,” gestures the actor with his hands, pointing out to a spot just below his hips.
“It was a nightmare, but I made it through,” Cooper finally says, as the mostly female audience of the talk show applauded his bravery to face some of the most important men in America without any underwear on.
And in case you're wondering, Bradley is packing on the pounds because he's getting ready for the role in “American Sniper,” where he's playing Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. The movie is going to be based on Kyle's best-selling autobiography about his experiences in the armed forces.
Sadly, this preparation for the role was not terribly well thought out, as it left the “American Hustle” star unable to dress himself properly. Not that any of the ladies present on the set of Ellen minded.
Even the talk show host herself praised Cooper for still looking hot, despite his confession that he put on a lot of weight for his upcoming role.
