14 DAY TRIAL // Bradley Cooper might not be playing Lance Armstrong in the upcoming doping biopic after all. Though he said last week he’d love to star in the film as the disgraced cyclist, Cooper is now calling the rumors “nuts.”
“Oh my God, that's so nuts!” he recently said of the rumors, as cited by E! News.
“I had no idea what [the interviewer] was talking about. I didn't even know that J.J. [Abrams] has the rights. I had no idea,” Cooper added.
In other words, this was a classic case of catch a celebrity doing press rounds, ask them whichever question comes to mind and see what comes out of it.
Cooper said he would be “interested” in playing Armstrong in a movie without knowing a movie was actually being made.
From this to saying he’s dying to do the part or even that he’s considered for it is quite a stretch, that’s what he’s saying now.
