For the first time in many years, before the release of “World War Z,” Brad Pitt got a lot of negative press. And I mean a lot. There’s one thing he has to say those who criticized the film before it was even out in theaters and that’s, “game on, [suckers]!”

You might have guessed that he actually used a different word for “suckers” and yes, it was the F one.

Brad Pitt sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote “12 Years a Slave,” in which he stars but that he also produced through his Plan B production house.

That and “WWZ” make of Pitt one of the hottest producers around and there’s plenty of talk that he might even get to walk home with an Oscar in February – for “12 Years a Slave,” of course.

So, the THR piece is, if you will, just the first in a long series of glowing articles on Pitt, which will be part of his Oscars campaign.

It still includes some important details, like how he’s now working on the sequel to “WWZ,” in which director Marc Forster won’t be involved anymore. That the two didn’t see eye to eye during production is now a sort of urban legend in Hollywood.
