Brad Pitt’s mother, Jane, is again acting as an intermediary between him and his former wife, Jennifer Aniston. After getting the two to maintain regular phone contact, the ex-mother-in-law, who seems no Angelina-Jolie fan, managed to convince Aniston to see Brad while on a trip to New York. During the secret meeting, Pitt complained almost non-stop about his problems, Grazia magazine says.

As it is usually the case with such reports, they come from unnamed sources – so-called “friends” –, who claim to have good knowledge of the stars’ personal lives, and who do not reveal their names for fear they may fall out of favor with their more famous friends. This is how we learn today that Brad Pitt used his latest trip to NYC to cry on Jennifer Aniston’s shoulder, whom he invited to his hotel room.

“She arrived at his hotel suite [at the Essex House Hotel, next to Central Park] a matter of hours after they had spoken. Brad was unloading his emotional baggage on Jen, which isn’t exactly fair considering their history. She was quick to tell him she wanted no part in his break-up with Angelina.” the source says for the British magazine as regards the reported, secret meeting Brad and Jennifer had the Friday before last.

Initially, Aniston was reluctant to go and see her former husband at his hotel, even if they did keep in contact regularly over the phone, the same source says. In the end, it was Brad’s mother who managed to convince her, and some sense of unbridled curiosity, bad mouths are saying. However, once she got there and saw that all Brad wanted to talk about were his recent problems with Angelina Jolie, she was “brutally honest” with him, telling him it was his responsibility to fix whatever problem he was faced with.

According to the same mag, Angelina Jolie is more than willing to work through the problems that have reportedly been eating away at their large family for many months now. It is Brad, though, who feels he’s reached the end of the rope and wants to call it quits. Reports even have it that he’s thinking of moving to Berlin, where he has many friends, so he can look at the Angelina situation from a different perspective.
