Dr. Drew is now promoting the latest season of Celebrity Rehab but he’d like the world to know his expertise is not limited only to the star he’s treating: he’s just as qualified to talk about others, like Angelina Jolie, Miley Cyrus and Eva Longoria.
Which is precisely what he’s doing in this new interview in the
Huffington Post.
Dr. Drew says he knows addiction when he sees it, regardless of the type it may be. With Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, things are very clear for him, even if he’s never met them: she’s a heroin addict and he’s the type that shuns commitment.
“There’s no such thing as ‘I was a heroin addict.’ That doesn’t exist in nature. Something is going on with [her] addiction. Or she’s in recovery. And I don’t see any evidence that’s the case. So we’ve got one person who’s a heroin addict. Which is a chronic lifelong condition, period,” Dr. Drew says.
Her partner, Brad Pitt, is not any better either, the celebrity doctor goes on to say. Add the two together, and you get a very volatile couple en route to an explosive breakup.
“We have another person who has said things like, ‘Well, Jennifer [Aniston] was into long-term relationships, that’s just her way of looking at things.’ I mean, that demeaning attitude towards other people’s emotions,” Dr. Drew says of Brad.
“Now put those two people together and you have got a really volatile situation. And they’re constantly creating things to weld themselves together. Which is only going to serve to make a more nuclear eruption. There will be some sort of meltdown that will be phenomenal when it does happen,” he further explains.
But the Brangelina couple is not the only one Dr. Drew has a few things to say about: he also believes Eva Longoria is a “love addict,” Miley Cyrus is acting out because of her parents’ divorce and Scarlett Johansson is responsible for her failed marriage to Ryan Reynolds.
