Bill and Jane Pitt are said to have warned their son off Angelina Jolie, recalling her bad marriage history, according to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.

Apparently, Brad Pitt's parents remain closer to Jennifer Aniston, their former daughter-in-law.

"Mr. Smith" was told to be careful with his new relationship. His parents have been previously quoted saying that the twice-divorced beauty seemed "nice".

Angelina, who is currently living with Brad into his house, together with her two children, is said to be hurt by their latest comments.

"Angelina thought she had got on well with his parents but then they told him he had moved too fast with a woman who had a bad marriage record" a source told the paper.

Meanwhile, the couple is expected to speak publicly on their relationship.

Brad has been recently spotted holding four-year-old Maddox's hand, and cradling baby Zahara, while visiting Angelina on the set of her new movie, The Good Shepherd.
