He and Angelina Jolie are, undoubtedly, a force to be reckoned with on the glitzy Hollywood scene. They are considered the epitome of glamour and good fortune, constantly hounded by the paparazzi and courted by famous publications – the image of the perfect family. And so they are, Brad Pitt tells LA Times while promoting his latest movie, the drama “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” and he wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Although just a few days ago bad mouths claimed that Brad was this close to leaving gorgeous Angelina, partner and mother of his children (both natural and adopted), the actor tells the mag that things are far from what we read in the tabloids and newspapers. Even more, he admits that, until he started the numerous family he now has with Angelina, his life was nothing but a dead end, despite the success he was enjoying even then.

“I had a whole other life and I got to experience a lot. And I probably got away with more than I should. And it kind of ran its course, you know, it kind of hit a dead end,” Brad tells the magazine. Fatherhood, he adds, is “the direction I always thought I would go in. But not until, with Angie and it felt like a natural evolution, a natural direction.”

As for his large family, with three natural and three adopted kids, Brad says in time he learned how to mold his career to fit life at home, and not the other way around. This is not the first time that the actor, who recently turned 45, speaks out about what it means to be a part of what is probably the most famous celebrity couple of our times, the Brangelina.

“I don’t have to grope as much for the character. I can get there quicker, so it’s not as much trial and error,” Brad says about his professional maturation. “Also, as I get older, more experienced, I’m more fine-tuned in what I’m after, what I think speaks in the piece. And lastly I want to hurry and get home to my kids,” he concludes by saying.
