The print edition of The National Enquirer claims that the most famous couple on the planet is at odds with each other over Angelina's rekindled passion for fellow actor Jared Leto, after seeing him at the Oscars. The moment that Jolie laid eyes on him on stage, she seemed to have remembered the fact that they had once had a “super secret” relationship after working together on “Alexander.”
Sources claim that, despite the fact that Angie and Leto did not share time on the screen, they did fall for each other on the set of the 2004 historical epic directed by Oliver Stone. Though the movie flopped at the box office, Angelina and Jared left with some common memories.
Now, Brad is furious because he thinks that his wife is getting frisky and wants to relive the past. “He assumed Jared was part of Angie’s checkered past. And when she went behind his back to reach out to him again, Brad was crushed. He blew up, but Angie claims her interest is totally innocent. Brad knows that Angie used to be in love with Jared. Brad and Angie have always grappled with trust issues and now their problems are threatening to boil over,” says an insider.
The best part is the fact that Brad might have been Angelina's second choice, as the man she settled for when she couldn't get Jared Leto. The insider adds, “Some of Angie’s friends think she settled for Brad after being rejected by Jared. She wasn’t willing to commit to Brad until he ditched Jennifer Aniston. And when she started secretly seeing Jared again, it broke Brad’s heart.”
This piece of news is highly suspicious, as Brand and Angelina have been together for years now, they have children together, and it's hard to believe that a full-grown woman would throw all of that away for an alleged fling she had with a man several years before.
Make of it what you will, but it does sound like the reverse of the gossip which speculated Angelina was jealous at Brad over his passion for Lupita Nyong'o, which has still yet to be proved.
