Brad Pitt is undoubtedly a very handsome man, otherwise no one could explain why he ranks so high with many female moviegoers and in beauty charts constantly being drawn up. For a few months now, though, the actor has been hiding his trademark good looks under a beard that, in its turn, generated a lot of press. People is happy to confirm that the beard is finally gone.

As noted above, for some months, Brad Pitt’s beard was even more famous than Brad Pitt himself, at least as regards tabloid coverage on the story behind it. Some even claimed that he was using it to hide how tired and aged he’d become, yet unable to face the cruel reality that all men – even him – grow old and lose their charms. The first signs that the beard was about to be banished came when the actor trimmed it considerably a short while ago.

“Brad Pitt’s big makeover is finally complete. A month after trimming his much-buzzed about beard for the upcoming movie Moneyball, the actor, 46, was spotted Monday on the Los Angeles set with a fresh new look and no facial hair. Pitt shaved it all off to play Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane in the flick, which also stars Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robin Wright,” People writes.

Indeed, reaction to the change has been mostly positive, especially online with the celebrity e-zines and blogs. At one point, bets were made as to how long Brad might keep the dreadful goatee or how long he might still grow it. Other headlines claimed that he was deliberately “fighting the hot,” and hypothesized about what might have made him do this. As we also informed you back in April, one rumor said he was using the beard as some sort of mask, to prevent the media from seeing how much he’d aged – because of the strain put on him by his relationship to Angelina Jolie, of course.

Consequently, Jolie had started nagging him about getting a facelift because she would not longer stand him looking like a genuine mess – a request he had already gave in to at the time we told you about. The recently surfaced photos of Brad looking his fresh-faced, handsome self again can surely prove all those were just malicious rumors.

I am ecstatic that Brad has shaved his beard. I have literally been in mourning for that beautiful face that could launch ships, mens' faces can launch ships too. I love that smile and it was making him look so old. Thank you Brad from all of us who love you.

It's about time. He is so beautiful without that hair on his face. Thanks Brad

He looks much better without the beard. You can see his handsome face. Why cover it with a face of facial hair. If it was for a role, that is ok, but then shave it off. :)
