“We’d actually like to, and it seems to mean more and more to our kids,” Brad Pitt says of marrying Angelina Jolie

A while ago, when asked why they didn't want to marry, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie said they wouldn't tie the knot until everyone else could do too. He's had a change of heart, as his latest interview in The Hollywood Reporter reveals.

Brad, who's one of the favorites in this year's Oscar race, graces the cover of the magazine, but also opens up on topics like politics, art, depression, his career and, of course, his gorgeous family with his partner of 7 years, Angelina.

He no longer wants to put off the wedding until the gays are also granted the right to get married, he says.

As of late, it's become very important for Angelina and the kids that they marry, so chances are they will do so soon, though he doesn't go into more details.

“We’d actually like to, and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out,” he says.

“It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment,” Brad adds.

Pressed for details, such as whether he's already proposed to Jolie, the actor gently backs away from the topic.

“I’m not going to go any further. But to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous,” he says.

In the same interview, Brad describes how he succumbed to the depression in the '90s because he didn't know or want to deal with fame, and how it almost turned him into a “doughnut” because he wouldn't get off the couch and would constantly smoke pot.

He also talks about Angelina Jolie and the kids, placing a lot of emphasis on how they first bonded through their charity work – long before becoming intimate.

All in all, it's one of the most candid and open interviews Brad has given in his career, definitely worth a read. Check it out.
