Although it’s been such a long time since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie became an item, it seems that their affair, as well as the Angie-Jen bitter feud is a never-ending source of fascination for the media. As a matter of fact, it has gotten so that even Brad can’t stop talking about it, despite the years (and children) that stand now between it and him.

Gracing the cover and center pages of the latest issue of W magazine, in a spread specifically meant to show him for the mature, responsible actor and man he is now, Brad sticks up to Angelina’s defense once more. Aside from saying again that what he and Angie did was not cheating – far from it – the reputed actor, currently starring in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” also comes to Jennifer Aniston’s rescue, saying that he did not understand how come she got all caught up in the middle.

“We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.” Brad tells the mag about the way the three of them handled the situation, the media frenzy that followed aside.

As far as the so-called feud between the two women is concerned, which, we might as well mention, has been a favorite topic with tabloids and celebrity blogs, Brad wants the world to know that such a thing does not, and has never existed. “Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.” the actor tells W.

As already noted, the February issue of the magazine features a lengthy interview with Brad Pitt, in which he tackles other issues as well. As for the photo shoot accompanying it, it was done by artist Chuck Close, who told him “You can't be the fair-haired young boy forever.” Said and done: introducing an aging Brad.
