Actor says in 3 years he'll only be producing films, not starring in them

Sad news for Brad Pitt's fans: they only have about 3 years of enjoying his work in front of the camera. In a new interview, the actor has announced he doesn't plan to work as an actor for that much longer and that's he'll soon be making his exit.

Asked recently whether he sees himself starring in movies in the long run, he answered simply, “Three years,” E! Online informs.

In other words, at the age of 50, Brad will retire from acting and will focus solely on his work as producer – and perhaps as director too.

Of course, he will also be dedicating more time to his family.

“I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. Getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher times otherwise,” he says.

Doing “Moneyball,” his latest film, probably helped him see how hard it is for some projects to see the light of day. Until his production company picked it up, it'd been in limbo for years.

As noted above, Pitt will also be spending more time with his beautiful family, now that he'll no longer have to act in movies and, of course, travel the world to promote it.

He even says he and partner Angelina Jolie may even have more children.

“You know, I don't know that we're finished. I don't know yet. I don't know,” Brad says.

He's certainly not against making the “chaos” at home even bigger because there's nothing he loves more in this world.

“Those late nights are so fun when one of them's up or those mornings when they get up and make pancakes or something. That's what it's about,” the star says, as per the aforementioned media outlet.

However, fans should probably take Pitt's words with a grain of salt, since this is not the first time he or Jolie talk about retiring from acting to be with the family.
