The 'dad of the year' is not just a simple parent who keeps in touch with his children via email or late night telephone calls. Brad Pitt is apparently so close to his newly formed family, Angelina Jolie, Shiloh and their two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, that he can't stay away from them even for a few hours.
So they all stay in touch via the Internet, with Brad sending them, and especially Maddox (who will be 5 in a few days), private audio recordings of himself. In return, Maddox sends his father films of his painting and latest bicycle stunts.
Currently, Brad is on the set of 'Ocean 13' in Los Angeles, only a few miles away from home, but things were tougher last month, when he had to leave for two days in New Orleans. During this visit, Pitt spoke for the first time about the joys of parenthood and the way it changed his life.
'I can't do justice to it anymore than any other parent can. You feel that you want to be there and you don't want to miss out on anything. And it's a true joy. And you want to be there for them if they need anything. It's a true joy', the handsome actor said during an interview.
A close friend of his says that, with each passing day, Brad and Maddox are getting closer and closer: 'Brad and Mad are so inseparable they need a way to keep in touch when Brad's away'. And podcasts was the perfect alternative for their separation to seem shorter.
