They insisted so much that they weren’t going to get married until gay couples could also do legally, that people stopped asking Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie if they’d ever walk down the aisle. In a new twist, Brad admits the topic is now officially on the table.

Brad and Angelina have 6 children and have been together for many years, proving to be one of the strongest couple in showbiz.

So far, they have rejected the idea of marriage as unnecessary, saying a piece of paper wasn’t going to change how they felt about each other.

While that probably still rings true with them, Brad is now telling USA Weekend that he and Angie are talking about the possibility of getting married – for the sake of the kids.

“The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them. So it’s something we’ve got to look at,” he admits, somewhat wearily.

If the children insist that their parents be married, Brad and Angelina will probably be taking that step in no time. After all, there is nothing he wouldn’t do for them.

“Kids hold up a mirror to you. You can’t make excuses. You’ve got to make sure they’ve brushed their teeth and eaten a good breakfast. You want to be present if they wake up with a bad dream,” the actor says of the responsibility of being a father.

There’s nothing better than living like this, Brad says: he’s always surrounded by his large and loving family, and he and Angelina are constantly working on bettering themselves as parents.

One aspect they’re also very careful about is their own relationship, so they make sure they get some time for themselves, as well.

“There are no secrets at our house. We tell the kids, ‘Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.’ They go, ‘Eww, gross!’ But we demand it,” the actor explains.

In the same interview, Brad also talks about being “hunted down” by paparazzi, his love of biking and whether he still sees himself doing movies at 80. See here for the full interview.
