Not everyone loves Brad Pitt, or Brad and Angelina Jolie, or the almost perfect family life that they seem to be leading. Among them, there are also those who simply can't understand why the Brangelina clan, as the power couple has been dubbed all over the media, is so famous and sought after, especially over the past year or so. Truth is, the very sight of Angelina, Brad and one of their many children (if not all four of them), makes people and paparazzi go crazy... Why?
One of the persons who can't even begin to comprehend all the excessive media attention and who wants the good people at home to know just how big is her bewilderment is also one of Brad's former lovers, former wife of boxer Mike Tyson, actress Robin Givens. Or, she's just looking to capitalize on an affair that barely lasted a couple of months and to get her name in the press again. But that's just speculation, of course...
Robin dated Brad years before he shot to international fame - they were involved for a very short period of time in 1989, a couple of weeks before she said her 'I Do's' to the famous boxer. Now, almost two decades later, she wants people to know that she has a problem: she doesn't understand why Brad is so famous, why he's such a big celebrity. 'I mean, Brad Pitt was hot, but I don't know if I find him to be so fascinating, to be perfectly honest.', she says in a recent interview.
And, if Brad's superstardom is unexplainable, the way his relationship to screen beauty Angelina Jolie is constantly holding all the headlines is something that literally borders on the absurd, for her at least. 'I see him differently than everyone else. Whenever I see him in the magazines with Angelina Jolie I just crack up. I think it's hysterical! I can remember walking down the street with him in New York and everyone going, "Come on, Robin, don't give up on the brothers yet!"', she explains.
Robin may be onto something, maybe the media exposure that Brad and Angelina get has reached critical levels. However, if that be the case, her trying to rub off on their fame (because that's practically what Miss Givens is doing) only seems all the more absurd, doesn't it? Or maybe just plain old lame.
