Duet is heavily criticized for a variety of reasons, but Paisley stands by it

When LL Cool J promised that his duet with Brad Paisley “Accidental Racist” would get a lot of attention, my guess is this isn’t what he meant. The duet is being trashed on social media and by industry publications.

Check it out above.

It’s called “Accidental Racist” and, even if it might seem like a joke to you, it’s not: it’s included on his brand new album, “Wheelhouse,” which is out in stores today.

The entire world might hate the song (and it sure seems like they do from what I’ve seen online), but Paisley is standing by it.

“This isn’t something that I just came up with just to be sort of shocking or anything like that. I knew it would be, but I’m sort of doing it in spite of that, really,” he tells EW about “Accidental Racist.”

“This is a very sensitive subject, and we’re trying to have the discussion in a way that it can help,” he adds.

Those who see his point of view still can’t get over how bad the duet is so, what I want to know is where do you stand? Give the song a go and drop me a line in the comments section afterwards.
