It's really easy to access the Factory Mode

The Bq Aquaris e4.5 Ubuntu Edition has been out for some time and is available for purchase right now. It's the only Ubuntu phone on sale, and one of the users found out how to access a hidden Factory Mode that gives access to all kinds of cool stuff.

Some of the older users might remember that there was a time when most of the phones on the market (not smartphones) had a secret menu that could be unlocked with key combinations or codes that were supposed to be secret. That's not the case anymore, but it doesn't mean that Bq Aquaris e4.5 Ubuntu Edition doesn't have a hidden menu.

Even if engineering menus are not usually available to the public, they still exist. Phones are not the only ones with such capabilities. These types of options are available in pretty much everything that has a processor, like a smart TV for example. They are locked away for a good reason, but some users will still want to know what is in there.

Factory Mode on Bq Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition is cool

An Ubuntu user posted details about this factory mode and how it can be accessed. As you can imagine, please make sure that you know what you are doing. It's not easy to brick the phone, but you shouldn't do anything that you're not comfortable with.

"The bq Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition has a 'hidden' Factory Mode. You can access it by doing the following:

- Power off the device - Press the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons for more than ten seconds. The device will boot while you press the buttons, so keep pressing!"

All the options are mostly about various tests that can be done to basically every hardware component in the phone. Many thanks to Sturmflut for showing us the way!
